Hillcrest Golf Club at Sun City West is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Sun City West, Arizona.
The Hillcrest Golf Club Golf Course first opened in 1978. The course was designed by Greg Nash and Jeff Hardin.
Playing to just a touch over 7,000 yards from the tips, Hillcrest poses a challenge to even the biggest hitters. There are, however, plenty of doglegs, water hazards, and white sand bunkers to keep them in check. However, the course suits all skill levels with generous fairways, an all grass layout, and an absence of blind shots make Hillcrest a perfect site for any caliber of participant. Choose from multiple tee placements, which allow play from 5,500 to over 7,000 yards. The golf course has a traditional layout that stretches over a flat, wooded landscape. The greens are severely sloped, making them difficult to read and the fairways are lined with trees.
As a mutiple-time host of the Senior PGA Tour LPGA competitions, and past host of the Johnny Miller Pro Am, Hillcrest Golf Club has earned a reputation as the choice for exciting tournament play.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 7,002 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,512 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 4, a par-5 that plays to 582 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 8, a par-3 that plays to 168 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 7, a 547 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 12, a 345 yard par-4. Hillcrest Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 13th, with a dogleg around a lake. This 536-yard hole also requires an uphill approach shot to a green that is surrounded by eight bunkers.

Greens were very good. Fairway grass was not in good condition, and some work was being done to aerate. Lots of thin growth areas. Layout is very good and requires some strategy for good scoring.

We normally play this course once a week. The course layout and green's contour continue to provide an interesting round of golf.

Greens are very good, contoured, and testy. Burned out areas and very wet areas on fairways. Some effort being made to aerate the dry areas. Sand in the traps is generally packed hard. Friendly shop staff. Nice practice areas.
